Definition: aged rum with a two-stage maturing process. Production: first resting for ve years in the caribbean inside american oak casks. Later shipped to the facilities of the williams & humbert winery in jerez (andalucia – spain) where it undergoes the nal stage of ageing which lasts for three years in casks which have previously been used to age the international award-winning sherry dos cortados with a guaranteed age of 20 years as certified by the denomination of origin jerez-xeres-sherry. 40% abv tasting notes: dividing the aging process into two different stages converts dos maderas 5+3 into a very special aged rum which is unique in the world with a bouquet avor and aromas which are hard to compare.
